Regrettably, not every Church benefits from the services of a regular organist. Sometimes pianists step in to play during normal Sunday worship and do sterling work. However, many lack the desire or confidence to play for bigger services like weddings, funerals and memorial services.

Richard is the third generation of his family to play the organ, taking up his first post at St Augustines, Flimwell at the age of fourteen. He’s an organist every week at St James the Great in Ewhurst Green, East Sussex and at St Mary’s in Ticehurst.

In partnership with funeral directors Waterhouse & Sons and Heathfield Funeral Service he regularly plays at churches around East Sussex. He also provides music at Eastbourne and Tunbridge Wells Crematoria and the new Wealden Crematorium in Horam.

This site provides ideas and inspiration which draws on Richard’s experience of a huge range of musical requirements. However, if you need an organist across East Sussex and West Kent for your memorable event; please contact him to discuss your ideas and to check availability.
